Alcohol Regulations by State

For Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, & Texas

To participate in an alcohol study at Curion, in adherence with State Requirements, you are REQUIRED to:

  • Provide a government issued ID proving that you are of legal drinking age.
  • Pass a breathalyzer test prior to leaving the premises after your test. Although we do not anticipate that you will have to stay longer than scheduled, be prepared to stay for additional time as required for your safety.

For Illinois

To participate in an alcohol study at Curion, in adherence with Illinois State Requirements, you are REQUIRED to:

  • Provide a government issued ID proving that you are of legal drinking age.
  • Arrange transportation with one of two options:
    1. Have a designated driver who will be required to sign you in and out of the study. When using designated driver, you will receive an additional $20 in your study payment to compensate your driver.
      OR
    2. Show proof that you have, and will use, public transportation such as Metra, Uber, or Lyft when coming to and leaving the facility on the day of your study. Proof of public transportation must be in the form of a receipt bearing the study date. If you use public transportation, you will receive an additional $20 in your study payment.

If alcohol study check-in or check-out requirements are not met, you MAY NOT PARTICIPATE in the study. Requirements for participation are State mandated regulations, and falsifying information will lead to permanent Curion panel restriction.
