If you got this message and are unsure what it means, it is helpful to understand how our participant selection process works and what happens if you qualify for a study but there are no available session times for you based on your answers.
Why Waitlists Occur
Our studies often have limits on the number of participants we can accept from particular groups. These groups might be based on factors like age, gender, usage habits, or other relevant characteristics. When these limits are reached, we can't immediately add more participants.
We place you on a waitlist because while you do qualify for the study, you fall into a user group that is already filled. The study is still open is because we are looking for other user types, and won't know how our panelists qualify until the answer the screening questions!
What Happens Next
If a spot opens up due to a cancellation or an increase in the number of participants we can accept, we'll contact you directly. Our team will reach out to see if you're still available to participate at the available time(s).
How to Avoid Waitlists for Future Studies
To increase your chances of securing a spot in a study and avoid being placed on a waitlist, we recommend taking the survey as soon as possible. Remember, our studies may field in multiple locations and our panel is quite large! The earlier you respond, the more likely you are to be among the first to be selected.
We understand that being on a waitlist can be disappointing. However, your participation is important to us, and we're committed to accommodating as many qualified panelists as possible!
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
