At Curion, we value your participation! When you complete market research studies, you'll receive payment via email, through our partner Tremendous. This payment will come in the form of a digital or physical gift card. You can choose a virtual Visa, physical Visa, or Amazon gift card. Expect your payment within 5 business days after the study closes, though some studies have longer processing times. This guide will walk you through all the details of receiving and using your payment.

How will I be paid?

Look for an Email

After you complete a study, your payment is sent to your email inbox from Tremendous, our payment partner company. You can choose to receive your payment in the form of a digital or physical gift card, with options like virtual Visa, physical Visa, or Amazon gift card. The email includes details on how to choose the gift card you want.

How Much Will I Get Paid?

The compensation for participating in Curion studies varies depending on factors like the type and duration of the study. A typical Curion study might last between 30 and 60 minutes. You can generally expect an incentive ranging from $40 to $250. You will be informed of the compensation amount before you decide to participate in a study. This transparency ensures you can make an informed decision about whether the study is a good fit for you. 

Why Virtual Payments?

Curion utilizes virtual payments through Tremendous for several reasons, including speed, convenience, and flexibility. Digital gift cards are often delivered more quickly than physical checks or other payment methods. If you prefer a physical gift card, you can opt for one in your Tremendous redemption email. 

When Can I Expect Payment?

After a study closes, we aim to get your payments to you as quickly as possible. Most panelists receive their payments within 2-3 business days after completing a study. In some instances, it may take up to 5 business days depending on the study. 

If you suspect your payment is delayed, don’t panic! You can ask for an update on your payment by submitting a ticket through the consumer support center. As a general rule, your payment will be in your inbox about a week after your study closes. 

There are two types of studies with longer payment processing timelines:

• Home Use Tests (HUTS): 7-10 business days after the study is closes.
• Beauty Insights Panel: 14 business days after the study closes.

What If I Didn’t Get My Payment?

First, keep in mind the payment processing timeframes:

• Most panelists receive their payments within 2-3 business days after completing a study. In some instances, it may take up to 5 business days depending on the study. 
• Home Use Tests (HUTS): 7-10 business days after the study is closes.
• Beauty Insights Panel: 14 business days after the study closes.

Please also check the spam and junk folders in your email. If you find your payment email there, simply add us to your approved-senders list to ensure smooth future delivery.

If the deadline for receiving your payment has passed, and you don’t see an email from Tremendous, you can submit a ticket through our consumer support center asking for an update.  

Getting Your Card

Can I Get a Physical Gift Card?

Yes! If you choose a physical card, type in your mailing address. Your card will arrive in a plain, non-branded envelope from my-card.com via USPS within 7-10 business days. Please note: physical cards, while convenient, carry a risk of loss or theft. Neither Curion nor Tremendous will be able to replace lost or stolen physical cards. 

How Do I Activate My Gift Card?

Digital gift cards do not need to be activated. Just redeem the gift card by following the instructions and link emailed to you by Tremendous.

Physical gift cards do need to be activated. The envelope it arrives in will include instructions for activating your card by visiting my-card.com and entering a 20-digit code, which is on the back of the card.

Using Your Card

How Do I Use My Digital Gift Card?

Your digital gift card can be used to make online purchases as long as the transaction amount is less than the available balance on your card. 

Online purchases may require you to enter the card’s billing address. This will be the address you entered when you first received your card from Tremendous. 

If you choose a virtual Amazon.com pre-paid gift card, add it to your Amazon account or enter it when you check out on Amazon.com.

Can I Move Funds Around?

Digital gift card funds are not transferable. However, if you want to give a gift card to a friend or family member, you could choose a physical pre-paid Visa gift card. Remember that they should be aware of the billing address you registered the card under to be able to use it.

You will get a separate gift card for each Curion study you participate in. Multiple cards cannot be combined, and gift cards are not reloadable. 

Do Funds Expire?

Yes. Use your gift card within six months of receiving it. US Visa cards (both Virtual & Direct Shipped Physical) generally expire six months after issuance.

Once the reward is redeemed, it’s subject to the terms of the reward option you choose. Virtual Amazon gift cards generally do not have an expiration date (unless otherwise listed).

The redemption link in your email expires if you do not redeem it within 5 years.

Please be sure to check the expiration and use your reward before the expiration date! Once the funds are issued and expired, Curion is unable to issue a replacement reward.
